Urielle kouk
PRESENTATION OF THE ARTIST
Urielle Kouk, a young photographer from Congo (Brazzaville), graduated in graphic design in 2017 and continues her training at the School of Fine Arts in Dakar. A member of the African Federation on Photographic Art (FAAP), she began her career in photography in 2018.
Through her works, she retraces an artistic narrative of her life and that of women. She denounces certain meannesses, wishes to deconstruct certain discourses in order to act in favor of equal rights.
In 2019, she participated in the group exhibition “The Women’s Parliament” at the Henriette Bathily Women’s Museum in Dakar and then at the Siki Gallery in Saint-Louis. She has also already exhibited at the Grand Théâtre National de Dakar.
